Carbon Metal Contacts for electrical circuits

In electrical control gear there are many contacts which either make or break electrical circuits or transfer current from one element to another. The use of carbon as contact has its advantages resulting from its self-lubrication, it can not be wetted by the majority of molten metals and it minimizes the burn-off caused by arcing. The typical example of its application are drum controllers, contactors, roller contacts and pretentiousness.
